Covenant this Sunday:
Lon and Marie Allison will be spending their final week with us speaking on the topic of Evangelism. Please remember to work through the handouts to help you construct your 1 minute testimonies.
Worship Services this Week:
Evangelist Luis Palau will be speaking in all 3 services on Sunday. Is there someone on your heart you’ve been wanting to invite?
Missions Fest—October 16th
A CORRECTION to the service times. Rather than 3 services on October 16th, there will be 2 due to Missions Fest. They will be at 9am and 11am. Covenant will be meeting at 9am in Room 46 and we’ll be joined by one of our missionaries, Jill Aspegren, who is with Casa Viva. We’ll be enjoying the morning with a pot-luck style breakfast. More details to come!
Membership Classes
Belong: Membership Class- Oct. 21, 22 & 23 The class starts out by affirming the key beliefs of the Christian faith. Then you will learn more about how these beliefs are lived out, by both members and leaders, in a covenant relationship. Finally, you will discover how God has uniquely created you to joyfully participate in the body of Christ (and fulfill our purpose as a church) by using your spiritual gifts, hearts, passion, abilities, personality, and experience (S.H.A.P.E). To register, go to connect@wheatonbible.org.

Announcements for September 18th
Jeff Weston emailed the Covenant class on Saturday, September 17th regarding two important updates on a couple missionary families that our church supports. We do not want the information included on the blog since it's a public medium, but please contact him at jweston@performancetrust.com if you are not receiving the class emails.
The other announcement was regarding Missions Fest on October 16th.
· Rather than the typical 3 services, worship services will be held at 9am and 10:30am. Therefore, Covenant will be meeting at 9am in Room 46. This is in the lower level, just down the hall from our usual room and near the coffee prep room.
· Jill Aspegren, one of our class missionaries, will be joining us to discuss their ministry with Casa Viva
· We thought to change it up for a week, we’d all have breakfast together during class. The plan is to have some breakfast casseroles, muffins, fruit, etc. More details to come!

Lon currently serves as the Executive Director of the Billy Graham Center at Wheaton College and brings a lot of passion and energy when he teaches. Marie works hard Sunday mornings welcoming people. She heads up WBC's Evangelism and Connect Ministries, huge focuses for our church. They have so much to share around Evangelism and they are really excited to be with us. Please come ready to be challenged......the Allison's will be bringing it.
Also, this Sunday everybody is welcome to meet at Portillo's (on North Avenue) following the 9:45am service. This a great time of food and fellowship. The Bears game(unless you are actually going) is not an excuse not to come. Put it in your DVR and watch it when you get home.
