2) Bridges One Day- There are over 400,000 Muslims, with 125 Islamic Centers and Mosques in the Chicago area. Bridges One-Day is a seminar taught by author and teacher Fouad Masri (our Global MissionsFest speaker in 2009) and will be hosted here at Wheaton Bible Church on Saturday, Oct. 2. This unique training session will help us grow in understanding of Islam and Muslim peoples and replace any fear and intimidation with love and gentle boldness, reshaping the way we view and reach out to our Muslim neighbors. 3) Devotional Guide- The staff at WBC has compiled a 4 week devotional guide for our congregation to go through together as part of MissionsFest this year. We will be handing out physical copies on Sunday morning Oct 3rd.

Welcoming the Stranger: A Church Leaders’ Conversation on Immigration Thursday, August 12, 2010, 9:00AM to 3:30PM, Wheaton Bible Church/Iglesia del Pueblo
Immigration is one of the most complicated issues of our time. Voices on all sides argue strongly for action and change. Christians find themselves torn between the desire to uphold laws and the call to minister to the vulnerable. We invite you to join us for teaching and dialogue among evangelical leaders to learn about and discuss this pressing issue for the Church.The event will include interaction with a panel of local pastors, lunch with immigrant families, and teaching by Dr. Daniel Carroll and Matthew Soerens.
